Shea Moisture is a brand better known for its heritage.The concept behind this brand was in-fact found by Sofi Tucker in 1912.It is basically a US based brand.The reason why I prefer to this brand is ,it is a cruelty free(not tested on animals),Sulfate free,Parabens free, Propylene glycol free, Phthalates free, and Petrolatum free brand.It is also a brand that certified for organic natural fair trade ingredients, and certified as a brand ethically traded and sustainably produced. Isn’t that enough to  build a matter of trust?

Based on that trust, I made my first ever purchase of Shea Moisture.And that was their 100%Virgin coconut oil Daily Hydration Shampoo. I was a person having hair related issues like hair fall, dry and frizzy hair, and also split ends. Because of that I have been following a specific hair care routine for the last 12-13 months. As a part of that, I stopped using Shampoos that are easily available and well known for its brand names which contains SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate).Today I can definitely say that Shea Moisture is one of the brand that I’m going to stick on to.

I know it was a long intro,though lets come to the review and my experience on using this Daily Hydration Shampoo.

Packaging and Price

The product comes in a plastic bottle packaging with an easy to dispense bottle cap.It costs $11.99 for a volume of 384 ml /13 fl oz.

Product Description 

The product is milky white in color and smells like pure cold pressed coconut residue.I have felt this smell several times in my childhood days as I am from the land of coconuts,Kerala! The shampoo doesn’t lather a lot, as I mentioned this is an SLS free product so it should not.Still a small quantity of product removes all the oil and dirt from the scalp exactly well, without drying your hair. For me, I didn’t experience more hair fall using this product till the day. After rinse only a very mild soothing smell was all i felt.

My only concern was the frizz and dryness of hair. This shampoo is not pulling out all the natural moisture from your hair.Instead it really handles your hair with a better hydration as the name claims. Although it suits all hair types, it is a boon for dry haired people.A plus is that it is a color safe one too ✌️.They have a Daily hydration conditioner also to pair with the shampoo but I couldn’t try it out yet.
